One Run One Family One La Salle [Update]
Dear Fellow Lasallians,
The organizers of the One Run One Family One La Salle (OROFOLS) are pleased with the progress of the registration campaign. Here are the initial results of our appeal for active participation and support from the Lasallian community.
DLS-Canlubang
The first school to commit to send multi-sectoral participation is Br. Kenneth Martinez of DLS Canlubang. Upon the launch of the OROFOLS, Br. Ken and his team immediately committed to send two (2) buses and one (1) van of participants, numbering some 100 runners. Br. Ken will even lead his delegation on July 13, Sunday, at The Fort (Taguig).
DLS-College of St. Benilde (CSB)
Br. Vic Franco and Ms. Mela Lazatin have assembled an impressive team of Benildean students, faculty and staff. They expect some 500 to 600 runners to participate in the inaugural event. In addition, Mr. Adolf Aran, the incumbent DLS-CSBAA President promises to send a sizeable alumni delegation to complement their collegiate team.
DLSU-Manila
Although the organizers are still awaiting the estimated number of participants from DLSU Manila, it has received strong endorsement and support from Br. Armin Luistro, Dean Voc Mistades and Dean Virgilia Calabio to send a large multi-sectoral delegation, including its UAAP athletes.
The organizers have likewise received encouraging support from various DLSU-M Student Organizations. For example, the Electronic & Communications Engineering Society (ECES) have committed to send some 150 members.
The organizers have extended invitation to LSGH, DLS Zobel, DLS Dasmarinas and the Health & Science Institute, DLS Antipolo, DLS Araneta, DLS Lipa and we expect to hear from them soon.
We hope to assemble some 5,000 Lasallians and friends in this inaugural event to launch La Salle Cares and help the One La Salle Scholarship Fund.
We are told that our Brother Visitor, Br. Edmundo Fernandez, and DLSP President, Br. Arimn Luistro, will lead our community in this historic event. We hope to see you at the Starting Line on July 13, Sunday, at The Fort (near NBC Tent). Assembly and pre-race instructions at 5:30am and race shall commence promptly at 6:00am.
We urge you to register soon before slots run out. For more details please visit OROFOLS website at: www.lasallecares.org/orofols/ (on-line registration is also available).
